10 out of 10 HIDDEN GEM!!!! I was able to get a sneak peak in before opening. Great Atmosphere, Great music, great vibes. After I took my nephew for his 21st Birthday. Price is reasonable, drinks are good quality. Customer service was WONDERFUL!!! We were assisted by John. Super down to earth, chill, very knowledgable.! Thank you John and Team for a great experience!

It was our first time for our friend’s birthday before our dinner reservation. Didn’t think I’d need to hold a 6pm slot because so many were available at 4 when I checked so I’d HIGHLY recommend reserving one for a weekend. Luckily a group was running late and we took their spot. Wish their bar had ice.

Great environment to have a fun time with friends or your family. Has arcades. But the most challenging in the "ax throwing". Personnel very friendly, communicative. Family from Florida and NC came for my grandson's high school graduation. Thank you so much for making it special 💗

Bananas' was awesome! They have an interactive axe-throwing set-up that turns it into a game. The Axe experience was so much better than the New Jersey chain locations. They also have the best arcade set-up, with everything you need. The pool table was excellent too, and this place is an amazing date-night spot to throw some axes, play some games, and have a drink. 10/10 experience, with so much to do!

For my dad’s birthday this year, we decided to try something new and chose axe throwing as our activity. We picked a location that was the midpoint between my home in Connecticut and my parents’ home in New York City. We couldn’t have chosen a better place than Banana Cabana! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by a staff member (I wish I had caught her name) who greeted us with a big smile. She gave an excellent demonstration on how to properly throw an axe, let us practice a few rounds, and provided helpful tips on positioning our arms and legs for the best results. The venue had a great drink menu with plenty of options, including non-alcoholic beer. We also loved the variety of games available—Battleship was a favorite! Another fun touch was the TouchTunes music system, where we could purchase credits and play our favorite songs. We definitely took advantage of that! Overall, we had an amazing time and will 100% be returning if we’re ever in the area again.

Sweet 16 Birthday Party at New Roc City (New Rochelle) was a blast! Booking was easy, staff was great to work with day of, and everything ran smoothly!

It was a great experience as we were celebrating a Birthday as the axe throwing was on point. The instructions given so that we were safe was a plus. I would say due to the other food choices nearby, only drinks are mainly offered. The nostalgia of the Video Games reminded me of the arcades of old which is a nice touch. So if you are looking for a great time and a different vibe then go Bananas!

This place was sooo fun. I went as a third wheeler of my sisters date and I loved it. One thing I will tell you is throwing axes are a workout. Also, we paid for 1 hour but it felt longer so that may be all you need. Oh and make sure you eat first because you will be burning everything off with those axes.

This was my first time axe throwing. We went to do something fun and different for a friend's birthday. We were there when they opened on a weekday. We were the only people in there. We were given instructions and a brief lesson from the owner. Then we had an hour to throw axes to our heart's content. It takes some getting used to. I'm sure it would take me several more sessions to properly learn when exactly I should release the axe so it hits the target. In any event, it was a good time and a new experience. I would go back again.

The atmosphere at Banana Axe Cabana is inviting, complemented by a kind and friendly staff. They were extremely helpful and informative regarding the technique of axe throwing. The place is well-maintained and clean, including the arcade. As a big fan of billiards, I was ecstatic to find two well-kept tables.

This place was awesome! We came here on a Saturday night and got a safety instruction from John who made sure we thoroughly understood how to properly axe throw. We had such a good time that we bought another hour and it flew by. The place is clean and new with great vibes, right inside of the mall. I highly recommend going! Soooo much fun!!

TLDR: Old School axe throwing with a new-school twist in a clean and fun environment with easy parking and lots of "side quests" nearby. To celebrate my birthday we decided to put together a day full of activities that included axe throwing. I have been axe throwing before to a place in New Jersey, but in the interest of finding something closer and nearby to our dinner plans, we came across Banana’s Axe Cabana. When you walk in, the vibe is dark, but fun - and tropical. Each participant gets a Hawaiian-style lei and there’s a great neon sign, perfect for taking group photos. One employee - possibly the owner or manager, even took our group photo with a professional-grade camera, then shared it with via social media. The lanes were clean, the coaching was good and the music was good, although it could have been a little bit louder. I liked this axe throwing better than other places because they use a computer-projected target which offers a variety of games that you can choose from. Scoring is done with a wireless mouse. They currently do not serve hot food but have snacks and drinks available at a tiki-style bar. Although we didn’t explore much beyond our lane, I would say that this place has an axe-throwing-meets-Dave-And-Busters vibe with lots of video games and other entertainment to partake in when you’re not chucking hatchets. Finally, being a part of New Roc City, Banana’s Axe Cafe offers a variety of options to eat either before or after your session, plus a gigantic parking garage, nearby movie theater and (I think) even Go-Karting indoors. It’s a great place to spend an afternoon, or a multi-activity day. Bananas Axe Cafe: 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Had such an amazing time last night! First off, the place is so cute and very clean. There was a great ambiance to the spot. We went with a group and we had a lane and played arcade games which were definitely a plus. A few of us had never axe thrown before and Jon was so helpful, he was so patient and informative while giving us training. On top of that, despite being the last ones there, they in no way rushed us out. We will definitely be back.

I’ll be honest, I went to axe throwing with cousins down in atlanta and I didn’t enjoy it whatsoever. However , one of my friends convinced me to come here and holy god, best axe throwing place. The staff was extremely friendly, very professional with training and how to throw the axe, and the place was just a great vibe. If you’re looking for a place to bring friends and have fun, this is it. Definitely coming back, 10/10

This place is a hidden gem! The actual axe throwing itself is super cool and you can play various axe throwing games with different targets. Definitely worth going with friends!! I went on a Thursday and it was only us and a few other groups.

Only thing lacking is drink services which they say it’s in the works!

Really cool place! I've never been to an axe throwing location that had an electronic scoreboard and the ability to play different games. This really made it a worthwhile experience and the atmosphere of the area is extra awesome! They don't have drinks yet, but they seem to be working on it. I would definitely come back here again but would make sure to not to keep the group size small as it charges per person, per hour which can get pretty expensive and run out of time quickly.

It's a fun place for axe throwing! You can pay for an hour or 2. The prices are fair. The games are a lot of fun. There's a projector on to the board (I think it's cork based, not wood - EDITED. I was corrected by the company, it is in fact wood [my apologies!]) that displays different types of games ranging from the original "darts" type of board to duck hunt, zombie hunt, tic tac toe, connect 4, etc. The place is clean. The service is great. They don't have their liquor license, yet, so no drinks. Although that's probably for the best since you'll be handling and throwing sharp axes. They also have a mini-arcade room for kids and adults.

I am so excited that they have an axe throwing place here in New Rochelle. It's 15 minutes away from me as I live in the Bronx. I did not want to venture into Brooklyn. The staff are so professional and friendly. I met the owner who was super fun. The atmosphere of this place is so nice. It has these tiki vibes. They don't yet have food and drinks but they will have it in the next 2 months. However, they do have an non alcoholic beverages and simple snacks. The axe throwing is fun as they have multiple games like we did throwing axes at zombies and at ducks it's very interactive. I definitely will be coming back perfect for groups, date night, any type of event! A lot of fun, highly recommend!

Had lots of fun at the Bananas Axe Cabana in New Rochelle. Easy to use and navigate. The employees were knowledgeable. Only negative was that the AC was either not working or off. Made it uncomfortable. They also didn't have cold water which would've helped with the heat. will go back but hope the AC is on.

Started out with classic target boards and then played a whole bunch of other ax-throwing games, like Battleship, Tic Tac Toe and Zombies (don’t hit the humans!). Staff was very friendly and helpful. Went with a couple of friends, and it was a lot of fun. We did an hour of axe throwing, and with the reservation, there was a discount for the arcade card. Arcade area was small but it was still worth it. Each game was 8 credits, which was not bad. The only thing was that they don't serve food, just snacks, which was fine because we only did one hour. Overall, it was fun. The staff were great. We would definitely go back again.

This place was a blast, me and my party of four were having mad fun learning how to throw an axe. The two employees Yusuf and Abdullah had exceptional service. They showed us how to throw and how to operate the game menu. They also made us understand safety procedures. Truly an exceptional experience.

It’s pretty simple to pick up and so much fun once you get the hang of it. John was all about hospitality—he made us feel welcome, comfortable, and confident that we were going to have a great time. And we absolutely did! They serve beer and wine, and food is coming soon too. Honestly, way better than a typical movie night—we’ll definitely be back. There are tons of different games to play while throwing. The computer system is super user-friendly and lets you choose from classic target games, Tic-Tac-Toe, zombie slaying, and all kinds of fun, old-school favorites!

It’s a really run spot to hang out and the projector allows you to play games with the axe throwing. It’s quite a unique place!

Had a great time at Bananas' Axe Cabana in New Rochelle! It’s a fun spot for a date night or hanging out with friends. The axe throwing experience was exciting – a bit pricey for a novelty event, but definitely worth trying at least once. The instructions were minimal, but we managed to get the hang of it and ended up hitting a few bullseyes! The one-hour session was good, but if you’re serious about getting better, I’d recommend doing two hours. Afterward, we checked out the arcade, but it’s small. There are two pool tables, though one was out of order (We paid but it took our credits. They did give us some credits back for more arcade games). We didn’t try the food, but it seemed a bit limited. The drink selection was mostly beer, and although the place had a somewhat tiki theme, they didn’t serve mixed drinks. Overall, a solid experience for some fun and laughs! Would definitely recommend it for a unique night out.

We had a great time celebrating my son's birthday. The staff was super friendly & helpful. I would definitely return again. Would love it even more when your kitchen opens.

So much fun. A lot of variations of axe throwing games. Facility is safe and the staff are nice. We really love doing axe throwing and then playing the arcade games. For dinner, we ran downstairs to BWW and then ate at BAC. Highly recommend!

Fun date night! Place was clean and beer was cold. First time doing this and the instruction was on point and very friendly. Fun place to go with a group or on a date.

We visited the Bananas Axe Cabana in New Rochelle and it was an awesome experience!! Some of our party was running late and they were able to push our reservation back, THE STAFF WAS AMAZING!!! We didn’t get her name but the girl with the curly hair was so helpful and fun!! After we threw axes (they have multiple games you can choose for this, we chose zombies and tic tac toe), we spent time in their arcade, we had some drinks and chips there, the music selection they had playing was good, just an overall great time!!! And they said they are adding karaoke!!! Definitely recommending this place to friends!!!

Had a great time on a weeknight! The different games played through the projector are so fun, way more exciting than aiming for the same bullseye every time. I also loved the tiki bar theme. We will be back for sure!

It’s a really cool place with awesome vibes - Hawaiian themed - and the biggest thing is that all the staff are kind and very helpful, including the owner who went out of his way to help me. They provide ample instruction time and are invested in helping you succeed. Great place, great staff, and 2 great experiences!

What an amazing experience! John and staff were extremely helpful in learning how to throw an axe and assisted us in tweaking our movements. We really enjoyed that it wasn’t traditional axe throwing and included a variety of games to choose from, spanning from the traditional bulls eye screen to tic tac toe and more. We really enjoyed our time and wish we chose a 2 hr window. We will be back!

Bananas Axe Cabana was a lot of fun for myself, my wife and our son. The staff were super helpful and the games they had for ax throwing kept us entertained the whole time. We'll definitely go back!

We went to celebrate my daughters 15th birthday and we had a great time. The staff were helpful, informative, explained the guild lines clearly, gave us lots of advise and encouragement. Next month my fiance and I will be getting married. We decided yesterday that we're returning with our wedding party to have a night of fun before our wedding.

So much fun! They taught our group how to safely and effectively throw the axes and we had such a blast! We’ll be back!

We had an amazing time at Banana’s Axe Cabana in New Rochelle. The ambiance was great. We especially loved that the axe throwing had different backgrounds/ games that could be done besides just trying to hit the bullseye. There was also a refreshments stand and pool tables and some arcade games which we really enjoyed. Highly recommend!

To even do this or try it, you'll get the experience that no one else will in NY. Axe throwing. Who knew? This location offers you the experience of throwing an axe at a target mounted on a wooden board on the wall & yes, the axe is for real. Safety is #1. As a 1st time guest, you'll have to sign a waiver (the axe is real) & then head over to your spot with one of their friendly employees that will guide you on a proper technique of throwing & keeping track of the score. You pay $30 per person for one hour, but the clock starts on your instructional training (which is a bummer). Keeping score is relatively easy with a click of a mouse. Different style targets that you get to choose from light up on the wooden board & you do your best to score high. Also at this location is a bar, but that was like... eh. There's also arcade machines, but their selection is... eh. They also offer billiard (pool tables), but there's only 2 & I find them crammed into the back room. So... eh. The real & only attraction here is the axe throwing experience. How many people do you know that could say that they experienced axe throwing in NY? Go & try it out. You'll like it.

Good service, and welcoming atmosphere. The place was clean and the staff were professional and friendly. It is a nice place to enjoy throwing axes and having drinks. The location is perfect due to restaurants and shopping center around the area. New Rochelle has prospered over recent years.

We were greeted at the door by friendly staff. The check in process was fast and easy; and the demonstration was informative and easy to understand. This was my first time axe throwing; I had a lot of fun, I'll definitely be back to do it again.

Had such a great date night at Bananas. Our axe throwing instructor was knowledgeable and kind. He worked with us until we got it down, and didn’t waste any of our hour. Having a bar, or allowing BYOB, would have definitely been nice. However, we did know that they didn’t have a liquor license before we went in so we weren’t unprepared. Def recommend if you’re looking for something different to do. Plus, you get a free lei!

The young lady without the glasses i forgot her name sadly was very nice and helpful. Quick practice and although they didn’t have food or drinks she was very nice about it.

It was quite fun. The young man that gave us the instructions on how to work the computer and how to throw was great He was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The place was relatively clean except for the restroom (tissue on the floor and trash was not removed from the day before). Also the trash by the skiball table was full and smelly from the prior day. I say prior because our scheduled time was 1pm, very first time slot. I did mention to the young man who gave us the instructions before leaving and he stated he would take care of the trash.

Had a great time! My only concern is I payed for an hour and they use some of that hour to go through the instructions, which takes over five minutes. I was not happy about that. One would think that the time starts when you start playing.

Very great experience. Had wonderful service and a lot of help since I suck but they were patient. It was such a fun time with a chance to play at arcade in the end. Come here if you wanna have a relaxed good time!

The place is still new and still a work in progress. It's nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Lanes were good. Lots of different games to play for axe throwing. A few arcade games. 2 pool tables in a small room in the back. Very few selection of snacks and drinks. No food or bar yet. I would go back once they are fully open and done with everything.

The whole team was extremely friendly and helpful! And the variety of games in the axe throwing lanes was impressive and seamless! Definitely hope to return soon.

This was my second visit to Bananas' Axe Cabana, and once again, the staff were incredibly fun and helpful. The decor and atmosphere is fantastic too, adding to the overall enjoyment of the experience. The only minor inconvenience was when an axe fell behind the wall below the target, making it a bit challenging to retrieve. However, I'm optimistic that this issue will be resolved soon. Overall, it's a great place for some axe-throwing fun!

Amazing experience for our group of 4! Highly recommend for a fun weekend night out, if you're looking to switch it up! Will come here again!

I’ve been coming to this place for about a year now and I can fully say with confidence that this is the perfect place to chill at. After they closed funfusion I didn’t think there would be anything else that would be worth coming here but I was wrong. The workers and the manager are welcoming and fun to be around. Definitely come here as a go to spot with your friends or win a prize for your partner. Ax’s, pool, and an arcade what more can you ask for

Came here with my husband for a pre Valentine's date. It was so cute and so much fun. We had a great time doing the axe throwing and then we played the games in the back. The two men were nice upfront. Thank you for a good experience and we will be going back for some more fun soon.

My family and I did axe throwing for the first time. All of the staff were courteous and made sure we understood the games. I recommend if looking for a good time in the weekend this is the place to go.

Took my team there for a work event and had a blast, lots of laughs and friendly competition.

Great idea for date night/friends hanging out. Just didn’t like how we had to keep fetching the axe every Tim it fell behind the wall. It was too much to keep calling a staff over to get it and took up too much time.

Staff was friendly and helpful! I definitely think that they should find a way of giving instructions before your time. That way you don’t lose time while they are instructing. If you want an upper body workout, this is it. Had to stretch a few times. I enjoyed my experience! Will definitely do it again!

It was my first time axe throwing. Takes a bit of practice. By fun all the same. I would definitely do it again. And for 2 hours next time. That hour went fast… time flies when ur having fun!

We loved we could choose different things to play not just having a bullseye to hit! We just wished there were more food and snack options to pick on while we played !
